Do Stretch Mark Creams Work?

Published by at 12:11 pm under Uncategorized

For years women have been struggling with the issue of stretch marks. Stretch marks can become a problem for many women during many times in their life. Most notably, stretch marks generally present themselves when a woman either puts on a lot of weight, and then gains it back, or vice versa. Many women report that it happens in their adolescent years, most likely because their bodies are growing at a rapid rate and the fat tissue underneath the skin is enlarging more so than the skin, thus causing the stretch marks. And yet, many more women get stretch marks because they fail to eat a properly balanced diet. Yep. If you eat a healthy diet and work out routinely, then you have less chances of getting those unsightly stretch marks. This has been proven by many, many doctors, researchers, and scientists. Also, it’s important to apply a proven stretch mark cream directly onto the surface area to be treated in order to help diminish the look of the stretch marks as well as prevent new ones from showing up in the first place.

So How Do Stretch Marks Form?

Well, as mentioned earlier in the article, stretch marks form because you just went through a major weight gain and loss, such as that during pregnancy, or possibly you recently lose a lot of weight because you’ve been eating healthy and exercising. On the flip side, if you’ve only just gained a lot of weight, then it’s possible that your stretch marks will be even worse. It’s important that you lose weight in a slow, managed way in order to ensure that the stretch marks do not become out of control. These stretch marks generally appear as reddish or purple lines and occur in more fatty deposit areas of the skin.

Men can also get stretch marks too if they have experienced a lot of muscle growth, which will cause the skin to stretch due to the muscle growth.

Stretch Mark Treatments

It’s important to exercise and eat a healthy diet in order to keep stretch marks at bay. Also, its even more important that you apply an all natural stretch mark cream to the affected areas 1-3 times daily to help diminish the look of the stretch marks and to also prevent new ones from appearing.
